Evidence first. Nurse-reviewed. Independent.
Studied Things started from a simple standard: if we recommend something, we should be able to show you the study behind it. It's the parent brand for two departments, Studied Skin and Studied Rest.
I'm Ciro Martone, a registered nurse with over 10 years of experience. I built Studied Things on a simple idea: you deserve to see the research behind a recommendation, not just the recommendation. For Studied Skin and Studied Rest, I read the studies, link every source, label small or maker-funded research for what it is, and say plainly when something calls for a visit to your own clinician instead of a product. Everything here is general education in plain language, never individual medical advice.
Studied Things is an independent business. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any employer, hospital, health system, or university.

What "medically reviewed" means here
- Every claim gets a source.Health claims link to peer-reviewed studies, clinical guidelines, or official labels.
- A nurse checks it.Ciro reviews each guide for accuracy and safety before it's published, and the review date is shown on the page.
- We say when evidence is thin.Small, short, or maker-funded studies are labeled as such.
- We re-review.Guides are rechecked when new evidence, recalls, or reformulations appear.
Editorial policy
General education only, plain language, no individual medical advice. We don't publish fake or AI-generated testimonials. Spot an error? We correct it and note the change on the page.
Money
Some links may earn a commission. That never changes picks, tiers, or results. Affiliate disclosure.
How we use AI
Some of what you see here is made with AI. The fireplace footage in Studied Rest videos is AI-generated and looped, and each video description says so; the sounds are synthesized by us, not recorded. We also use AI tools to help draft and edit pages. Every health claim is checked by Ciro against the research it cites before it's published. We never use AI to create testimonials, reviews, or "experts."
